Visit the capital of the Mayan Civilization and discover one of the richest ancient cultures in the world. Located some 126 miles, 2 ½ hours from Cancun, Chichen Itza was the most important and advanced ceremonial and religious center in Mesoamerica . Attempt to climb the most famous and visited structure on the site, “The Castle” or “ Temple of Kukulcan ”, a magnificent 70 feet high pyramid. According to tradition, it is visited twice a year by the Mayan god who manifested himself in the form of a serpent of light and descends from the main stairway. Guided tour to the archaeological site will last two hours.
